- Patriotic Picnic July 3rd at the Workhouse - On July 3 at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton is having Patriotic Picnic from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. There will be artist demos, live music and the Kid Zone Open House. Admission is free with a recommended $5 donation.
- Fairfax Independence Day Parade and Evening Show - The city of Fairfax puts on the largest hometown celebration in the area. Events will begin with a parade at 10 a.m. Take in a traditional atmosphere with bands, balloons, floats and more.
- Dale City Fourth of July Parade & Family Fun Day - From 10 a.m to 10 p.m. Dale City will be celebrating Independence day with a parade followed by a celebration with rides, food and displays.
